DISTRIBUTION TECHNOLOGIES HONORED BY SUNOCO, INC. AS 2003 TANK TRUCK CARRIER OF THE YEAR

Newbury, Ohio -- Distribution Technologies Inc. (DistTech), an established industry leader in dedicated contract carriage, common carriage, logistics services and returnable container management, was recently honored by the Sunoco, Inc. Transportation Group with 2003 Tank Truck Carrier of the Year Awards.

Sunoco named DistTech and its Newbury, Ohio facility as Carrier of the Year for Scheduled Facilities. The manufacturer also presented a Carrier of the Facility Award for its Haverhill, Ohio plant to DistTech's Ironton, Ohio terminal. Sunoco presented the awards to Manfredi Motor Transit, which now operates under the collective DistTech brand name to better reflect the company's core capability of merging reliable transportation services with real-time information technology.

Sunoco's Carrier of the Year selections were based on safety and service performance to its customers throughout the year. The criteria included outstanding on-time delivery, on-time loading and load acceptance.
