DISTRIBUTION TECHNOLOGIES WELCOMES NEW MANAGERS
Company Also Promotes Employees to Key Posts

Newbury, Ohio -- Distribution Technologies Inc. (DistTech), an established industry leader in dedicated contract carriage, common carriage and logistics services and returnable container management, recently promoted four employees and welcomed three new additions to its management team.

"Our organization has rapidly evolved into more than just a trucking company; we deliver supply chain solutions that enable our customers to save time and money," explained Richard Manfredi, CEO of DistTech. "This latest round of new hires and promotions enables us to better meet our customers' emerging logistics requirements. These team members have the proven expertise and leadership needed to extend our technology and service capabilities even further."

DistTech's organizational changes include:

  • Karen Rizzuto, formerly Senior Logistics Analyst, has been named to the newly created post of Director of Central Logistics. She is charged with managing and coordinating the daily operations of Central Logistics, including order receipt, dispatch and load optimization. Karen will also help develop DistTech's logistics offerings. She maintains offices at both DistTech's corporate headquarters in Newbury and its Central Logistics office in Beachwood.
  • Mike Maloney, also previously Senior Logistics Analyst, was promoted to Program Manager for Degussa Construction Chemicals. He is responsible for developing and measuring performance metrics and coordinating global operations. He is located at the Beachwood office.
  • Louis Turner, a 30-year veteran of transportation management and private fleet operations, has joined DistTech in the newly created role of Regional Manager. He previously spent 22 years at GE Betz, most recently as North American Transportation Services Manager. Lou also worked for National Sugar Refining Co. as Private Fleet Manager.
  • Corey Dix and Alan Manus have been promoted from Logistics Supervisor to Logistics Manager at DistTech's terminals in Dayton, Ohio and Denver, respectively. Greg McDonald, formerly Operations Manager for Houston Specialized Carriers, was recently hired as Logistics Manager for DistTech's Neville Island (Pa.) terminal. Corey, Alan and Greg are responsible for managing, operating and maintaining each terminal's operations.
  • Andrew DeLao, a 20-year transportation veteran, joined DistTech as Logistics Supervisor for the company's Hayward, Calif. terminal. He is charged with managing all terminal operations.
