(DistTech), an established industry leader in dedicated contract carriage, common carriage and logistics services and returnable container management, has announced that its operating units will now operate collectively under the DistTech brand name to better reflect the company's core capability of merging reliable transportation services with real-time information technology.

"Since our company was founded as Manfredi Motor Transit in 1932, we've created numerous other operating units and added more capabilities to provide customers with lower costs, shortened order-to-cash cycles and more robust shipment information," explained Richard Manfredi, CEO of DistTech. "However, because we operate under so many different names, we've created confusion in the marketplace.

"Adopting DistTech as the go-to-market name for the entire organization simplifies our identity and reinforces our commitment to delivering not only logistics solutions but also the technology that improves the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of our customers' supply chain processes. Having a single name also emphasizes the integration among our operating units to offer a wider range of services."

DistTech has changed its Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) from MAND to DTCH. The company is currently re-branding all vehicles, driver uniforms and facilities for its operating units to the DistTech name.
