JAMES TATUM HONORED AS DRIVER OF THE MONTH
Ohio Trucking Association Recognizes DistTech Driver for His Strong Safety Record

Newbury, Ohio -- James E. Tatum, a driver trainer for Distribution Technologies Inc. (DistTech) based in Ironton, Ohio, was recently honored by the Ohio Trucking Association (OTA) as a Driver of the Month for 2004. Tatum received his award at the OTA's annual Safety Awards Banquet earlier this month.

Tatum was one of 12 drivers chosen for the Driver of the Month honor based on such criteria as safety record, years of service and community contributions.

A professional truck driver for 31 years, Tatum has accumulated nearly four million accident-free miles. He currently drives for DistTech, a carrier that specializes in dedicated and common carriage for liquid bulk commodities.

"James is one of those selfless drivers who goes out of his way to help repair disabled vehicles, clear blocked roadways and offer assistance to stranded motorists," said Ray Elliott, Logistics Manager for DistTech's Ironton facility. "He attributes his excellent safety record to always taking the time to do things correctly and never being in a hurry."

"We're fortunate to have James as part of our fleet," said John Rakoczy, Chief Operations Officer for DistTech. "His knowledge of the industry, professionalism and dedication to safety day in and day out set an example for his fellow drivers to follow."
