DistTech earns Great West Casualty's Platinum Award for
safety

DistTech Inc., a provider of dedicated and common carriage for
liquid bulk commodities, announced that it has earned the Platinum
Award from Great West Casualty Co. under its 2008 National Safety
Awards Program. DistTech says this is the fourth consecutive year it
has received the highest honor from the trucking insurance company.
DistTech says the award recognizes the company's and its drivers’
overall commitment to safety, which resulted in a low preventable
accident frequency rate of 0.48 accidents per million miles of
operation for 2008. DistTech says it was selected from a group of
more than 800 participating carriers from across the country. The
annual National Safety Awards Program recognizes fleets in similar
operations (truckload and less-than-truckload) with awards based on
their yearend preventable accident results. Trucking companies that
operate five or more trucks (as defined by its policy) are eligible
to participate in the program. Qualifying carriers are eligible to
receive a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Participatory award.

addition to its recognition by Great West Casualty, the company has
won six National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) safety awards for the
best comprehensive safety program in the tank truck industry, and 75
of DistTech’s current drivers have achieved at least 1 million
consecutive accident-free miles during their driving careers. The
company says it also is recognized frequently by state trucking
