Trucking company DistTech has opened a new terminal in West Chester, creating 35 new jobs.

The terminal, on Cincinnati-Dayton Road near Interstate 75, replaces an older facility in Dayton, DistTech said in a news release. It includes a 1,000-square-foot office and two acres of parking, as well as a larger cafeteria and lounge area.

“Relocating our terminals into larger, more modern, more accessible facilities is part of a broader, strategic company initiative to reduce our supply chain costs and enhance overall customer service,” said John Rakoczy, chief operating officer, in the release.

DistTech said it also opened a terminal in Cleveland in April, one of 10 new facilities it has opened since 2006. The transporter of liquid bulk commodities, based in Newbury, Ohio, employs 160 in the state and operates 35 facilities nationwide.
